Through 2019 and early 2020, I developed a new approach to student resources in support of Higher National qualifications. I was responsible for developing the strategy, building a business case, authoring and editing.
Unit Study Guides provide a focused body of information, guidance and support related to specific units in a Higher National. Through ‘Things to Remember’ (highlighting key concepts) and ‘Tips’ (short pointers to additional areas of research) and providing clear explanations of Learning Outcomes and Assessment Criteria, these short e-texts are intended to work alongside classroom-based or online learning.
Less expensive than a textbook, but providing a clear body of information, Study Guides allow students to select which support they need.
