Sliver

 In 1999, working with artists Neil Cummings, Marysia Lewandowsa, and Jason Pidd, I developed a computer programme that would capture all of the search terms entered into a popular Internet search engine over a 24-hour period. This “Index of Desire” was a snapshot of the interests, fetishes, questions and desires of the burgeoning Internet community.

For David Redhead’s book “Products of our Time” we published 16 minutes and 36 seconds from the index. This ‘Sliver‘ displayed as a continuous line of text along the bottom of every page.
